Double Chocolate-Marshmallow Milkshakes

February 17, 2012

Milkshakes are delicious any day of the year!  This milkshake is super delicious!  You can make it “healthy” like I did by using skim free milk instead of whole milk.

I got this recipe from Food Network Magazine June/July 2009 issue and they got it from Bobby Flay’s Burgers, Fries, and Shakes book.   I’m thinking I need to buy this book to try out more of his shakes!

Makes 4 shakes.

1/2 cup heavy cream                                        1/4 cup of marshmallow cream

1/8 tsp. vanilla                                                     1 cup whole milk (I used skim)

1/4 cup chocolate syrup (I used Hershey’s)

3 cups chocolate ice cream (I used Blue Bell Dutch Chocolate)

Whisk cream, marshmallow cream, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.  set aside.  Combine milk and chocolate sauce in a blender.  Add ice cream and blend until smooth.  Fill glasses 1/4 of the way with the shake; add some of the marshmallow cream, the more milkshake, cream, milkshake.

Now you are ready to enjoy every single sip.  You’ll even want to slurp so you don’t miss a drop!
