Triple Chocolate Cake

This is the best cake ever!  My brother Jace wanted me to make a cake for Easter.  I decided to make this cake.  He loves the Chocolate Surprise Cake that is in my cookbook, but he’s decided he likes this one even better.

This is my adaptation of Jane and Neill Armstrong’s “The Best Chocolate Cake” recipe from Dallas Cowboys Wives- Celebrating Texas Cuisines, Cookbook and Family Photo Album. 

1 pkg. Chocolate Fudge Cake Mix                  1 small pkg. Chocolate Pudding Mix

1 c. sour cream                                                     4 eggs

3 Tbsp. melted butter                                        1/2 c. warm water

1/2 c. vegetable oil                                             1 (12 oz) pkg. chocolate chips

In a large bowl, add all ingredients.  Mix together.  Pour into your choice of baking dishes (bundt pan or in my case a round stone pan).  Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.  Leave in pan for 10 minutes.

You can take additional chocolate chips and melt them, then drizzle them on top of cake.  Add Reddi Wip for the perfect topping.  (This is what I did for my cake.)
