Peach Pound Cake

January 6, 2013

This recipe comes from Georgia on My Menu. It tastes a little bit like peach cobbler.

1 c. butter or margarine, softened

3 c. sugar

6 eggs

3 c. flour

1/4 tsp. baking soda

1/4 tsp. salt

1/2 c. sour cream

2 c. fresh peaches, peeled and chopped

1 tsp. vanilla extract

1 tsp. almond extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a bundt cake pan. Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine flour, soda and salt in separate bowl. Mix together sour cream and peaches, add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream and peaches, beginning and ending with dry ingredients. Beat well after each addition. Stir in vanilla and almond extract. Pour batter into pan and bake for 80 minutes or until cake tests done.
