Roasted Ginger Ale Chicken, “Julia Child’s, aka Kevin Wilson’s, Way”

September 19, 2014

This recipe was created by “accident.” Kevin has always been a great imitator of the legendary television chef, Julia Child.  We decided he should take it a step further and work on a parody of this lady who has paved the way for so many.  She is known for using wine, but Kevin doesn’t use wine in his cooking, so we decided to substitute Ginger Ale for one of the ingredients in the recipe in his skit.  After practicing the skit, we began wondering what the chicken would actually taste like if we truly followed this recipe.  We roasted that chicken using only butter, salt, and Ginger Ale, and the results were delicious.  Why don’t you try it as well!  (~Renee Wilson)

1 Tbsp butter

1/2 tsp. salt

1 c. Ginger Ale

Place chicken in a roasting pan.  Rub butter over chicken.  Sprinkle salt.  Pour Ginger Ale over chicken.  Tent a piece of foil over chicken and bake for one hour in a 350 degree oven.
