Banana Split Yummy Bars

Kevin is the king of creating new recipes.  This is his latest creation.  And for your delight and pleasure, he is sharing the recipe with you.  We hope you like this as much as we did.  A special thanks to Kevin’s Crew/Backers for supporting this recipe.

1 box of Nabisco vanilla wafers
½ c. walnuts + ¼ c. walnuts
3 Tbsp. melted butter
1 8 oz tub of low fat Cool Whip
3-4 ripe bananas
¼ c. Nestle’s dark chocolate chips
¼ c. Nestle’s regular chocolate chips
1 Tbsp. skim milk
In a food chopper, mix vanilla wafers and ½ c. walnuts until finely chopped. Stir in butter until it forms together. Press into a 9 x 13 baking pan. Cook in a 350 degree oven for 5 minutes. Remove and cool. Then place in refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. Next, spread Cool Whip evenly over crust. Slice bananas and dip in Sprite to prevent browning. Layer on top of Cool Whip. Melt chocolate chips and milk. Stir until smooth. Drizzle over bananas. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 c. walnuts over dessert.  Refrigerate until serving time. Cut into squares.
