Chili Powder Cheese Ball

This past summer, Kevin made this cheese ball.  It was a hit with his brother and his brother’s friends.  Jace requested Kevin make this again for him.  When we searched the blog for the recipe, we could not find it anywhere.  Apparently, we had forgotten to blog it.  So, we couldn’t think of a more perfect timing than now, at the Christmas holidays where party invitations abound, to present to you the Chili Powder Cheese Ball.  It is super easy to make and it is the perfect appetizer for any party!  Kevin’s version of “Green Onion Cheese Balls” from Quick and Tasty Christmas Gifts is brought to you by his Kickstarter Backers.


1 (8 oz.) pkg shredded sharp cheddar cheese

1 (8 oz.) pkg shredded pepper jack cheese

1 (8 oz.) pkg cream cheese, softened

2 tsp. Tabasco sauce

Chili powder


Combine cheeses and pepper sauce in a large bowl.  Beat with electric mixer until well blended.  Shape cheese mixture into large ball.  Roll in chili powder.  If not serving immediately, you can wrap it in plastic wrap and keep in refrigerator  until serving time.
